Rona!d Posted October 6, 2013 Share #5604 Posted October 6, 2013 Not a patrol/police car and it makes more fun away from highways.
wlaidlaw Posted October 6, 2013 Share #5605 Posted October 6, 2013 Looks like one of those cars where someone has applied a VinylWerks decal to it. Wilson

stuny Posted October 7, 2013 Share #5608 Posted October 7, 2013 Rona|d - My first thought was a 944, but I've changed my mind. BTW: As you search for a pagoda MB you might want to pick up this booK: Factory-Original Medcedes SL by James Taylor.
Rona!d Posted October 7, 2013 Share #5609 Posted October 7, 2013 Rona|d - My first thought was a 944, but I've changed my mind. And you did well with that change BTW: As you search for a pagoda MB you might want to pick up this booK: Factory-Original Medcedes SL by James Taylor. Thanks, Stu. There are so many wonderful car books, I haven´t time to read them all. My preferred way is talking to owners and mechanics and test drive different models as much as I can. Sometimes that saves a lot of frustrations and costs
wlaidlaw Posted October 7, 2013 Share #5610 Posted October 7, 2013 It looks like a Ford Escort that has had a visit to Halfords and had an aftermarket front end and bonnet screwed on it (by self tapping screws). Wilson
Rona!d Posted October 7, 2013 Share #5611 Posted October 7, 2013 (edited) Indeed a "bread and butter" vehicle with some optical tuning, Wilson, but not a Ford. It´s a vehicle for "fearless" drivers. I once drove a massively tuned one (6 times the power of the original) which turned out not having any working breaks. I drove it though scenic hills on "rallye roads" and had to find out the missing brakes. Shifting and steering was strange too, so I learned a lesson. wlaidlaw Posted October 7, 2013 Share #5612 Posted October 7, 2013 Could it be a Nissan 300ZX? Wilson
Rona!d Posted October 7, 2013 Share #5613 Posted October 7, 2013 (edited) Interesting guess, but you would be surprised if you could see which car it really is Unfortunately any other crop could possibly be too revealing, so I´ll wait if any other suggestions or questions will be posted. wlaidlaw Posted October 7, 2013 Share #5614 Posted October 7, 2013 Ronald, I assume it must be a "Turbo", as that is the only way other than an engine transplant to get that sort of power increase. I thought of something like Nissan Cherry Coupe but the front and lights don't look right. Wilson
Andi_77 Posted October 7, 2013 Share #5615 Posted October 7, 2013 I have honestly no idea, but those details made me think of Group B rally cars turned into Rallycross "beasts" (something like a Ford RS200 or a Metro 6R4). Am I really far?
Rona!d Posted October 7, 2013 Share #5616 Posted October 7, 2013 Wilson, not a Turbo, just an "oversized" and tuned engine of a "big brother". That kind of engines can be tuned very well. Andrea, you are really far on the one hand and not far on the other You could find out the right car.
Rona!d Posted October 7, 2013 Share #5617 Posted October 7, 2013 Another hint and what it has in common with some of those rallye turbo monsters: A big centered wiper blade.

Rona!d Posted October 7, 2013 Share #5619 Posted October 7, 2013 Is it an American car? Nope. But Americans love it, when they see one.
Andi_77 Posted October 7, 2013 Share #5620 Posted October 7, 2013 Mmmmhh... This one is really challenging! In the first picture, is it some sort of pop-up headlights or just a... line/"crease" in the metal?
