My first thought was a 944, but I've changed my mind.

And you did well with that change ;)

BTW: As you search for a pagoda MB you might want to pick up this booK: Factory-Original Medcedes SL by James Taylor.

Thanks, Stu. There are so many wonderful car books, I haven´t time to read them all. My preferred way is talking to owners and mechanics and test drive different models as much as I can. Sometimes that saves a lot of frustrations and costs ;)

Indeed a "bread and butter" vehicle with some optical tuning, Wilson, but not a Ford. It´s a vehicle for "fearless" drivers. I once drove a massively tuned one (6 times the power of the original) which turned out not having any working breaks. I drove it though scenic hills on "rallye roads" and had to find out the missing brakes. Shifting and steering was strange too, so I learned a lesson.

Interesting guess, but you would be surprised if you could see which car it really is :D Unfortunately any other crop could possibly be too revealing, so I´ll wait if any other suggestions or questions will be posted.

Ronald,

I assume it must be a "Turbo", as that is the only way other than an engine transplant to get that sort of power increase. I thought of something like Nissan Cherry Coupe but the front and lights don't look right.

Wilson, not a Turbo, just an "oversized" and tuned engine of a "big brother". That kind of engines can be tuned very well.

Andrea, you are really far on the one hand and not far on the other ;) You could find out the right car.
