Ronald, no idea at all what car it is, but I have to make a comment: IMO, one of the best abstract photos posted on these forums lately. The proportions, bold shapes, subtlety of tones, etc, all contribute. Should be in a frame, grain, dust and all, with a generous white border around the image. Really good one!

OK, I´ll give you another crop to make it easier for you to win. You see the typical Hofmeister design influence?

It's not a webasto-roofed 2000CS is it? Mine had a sliding steel one.

Regards,

Sorry, Bill it isn´t although that would be nice to have. This car is/was more kind of a daily driver we also use in winter, although it get´s rarer on the roads after all the years and we shouldn´t use it on salty roads.

p.s. With WEBASTO you are on a good track, I think. Maybe also BAUER was involved, but this roof was an official factory special model offer.

A Baur Cabrio?

Not, although my sources say BAUR "could" have been involved in the development of that BMW special model. The roof source is WEBASTO but not such logos on it (all BMW labeled, even the roof motor), the car was made directely at BMW factory.

Another hint: TODAY our car celebrates it´s 17th birthday (initial registration) and it´s more agile on small roads than it´s sister models with the same engine/wheelbase.

Wilson, Stu,

this seems to be a hard nut. It is something "inbetween" of your both suggestions.

Non of your models had a foldable big roof as works option, I think.
