The Chevelle and the Buick (neither of which these are) were built on the same platforms as the puzzle car and had similar sheet metal, so you now know the parent manufacturer. And yes, the double nostrils were from the factory just as you see them in two model years. Here's a full shot with the model and marque badges cloned out.

nice! yes it is a Lancia 2000 HF coupe.

My father had a Flavia Zagato Coupé on order when sadly he had a stroke in 1968 and had to cancel it. For the rest of his life, he had to put up with my mother's truly awful driving in a series of DAF's and Volvo 66's. I was able to take him out however in my Lancia Fulvia 1.6 HF coupé in around 1972/3. This was a lovely car apart from the dreaded Italian tin worm.

 

Anyway here is the next car - not an easy one I think.

that sucks about your father. i really love the Fulvia HF though.....what a fantastic car. i'd love to have one, one day.

 

is the car you posted a Jaguar XK120/XK140? i know that seems too easy of a guess after you said it's "not an easy one"...but hey worth a shot! ;)
