Guest ksmart Posted July 9, 2012 Share #3687 Posted July 9, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) I thought, the 'Alexander' had not that 'grin in the face', but the later 'bad-mood-face' Alexander, Isabella's little brother.... I remember an episode, when I was 16 or so. First day after summer-vacation, teacher asked us, where we had been on vacation. One classmate: "In Spain, with our 600!" It was a brand-new Mercedes-Benz 600. Another classmate: "In Spain, with our old 600 Lloyd." Okay. No pics, so just continue who likes. Lenn
stuny Posted July 9, 2012 Share #3688 Posted July 9, 2012 Thank you, Lenn. I'll jump in. Make and model, year is optional: Welcome, dear visitor! stuny Posted July 9, 2012 Share #3690 Posted July 9, 2012 John - You have the year and manufacturer. Model?
stuny Posted July 10, 2012 Share #3691 Posted July 10, 2012 There is enough information in the photo to give the model name, which is the body style (not something like Model A). Let's see if that helps. If not I'll post more.

stuny Posted July 11, 2012 Share #3696 Posted July 11, 2012 Still not quite it. No Delux or Roadster in the model name. It has an Alexis Kellner body mounted to a model 68 frame. This one is in the estate of a very rich family. Model name? Welcome, dear visitor! stuny Posted July 11, 2012 Share #3698 Posted July 11, 2012 Keep trying. The buyer of this car is also a politician, a former muli term governor of New York State, and an appointed national office.
stuny Posted July 12, 2012 Share #3699 Posted July 12, 2012 Two last hints. The car's late owner was also a US vice president, and it is part of his car collection in his family's estate, Kykuit. The type of body style of many cars, more recently from Porche and VW, is what I'm looking for.
