Rona!d Posted June 29, 2012 Share #3641 Posted June 29, 2012 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) Good trace Andreas, please proceed with guessing the car Another hint: The maker made small cars but also big and very elegant ones. With some construction details he was partly way ahead of his time with others he wasn´t. Edited June 29, 2012 by Rona|d

Rona!d Posted June 30, 2012 Share #3643 Posted June 30, 2012 Sorry Steed, no Dixi. Sportier and younger!
Andreas.Pichler Posted June 30, 2012 Share #3644 Posted June 30, 2012 Okay, lets become serious... A company with interesting construction details? Like a V8 engine in the rear of the car? Small cars, but elegant and big ones as well? Speed records (reached by the airplane branch, of course)? And last not least: Remember the great album of "Queen", the "Bohemian Rhapsody"? Steering wheel is like in the Tatraplan 600 (three sets of 5 spokes). The speedo is like in the Tatra 75 Bohemian Roadster. So I would go for a slightly modified Tatra 75 Bohemian Roadster. Rona!d Posted June 30, 2012 Share #3645 Posted June 30, 2012 (edited) Andreas, hot track, but other brand. p.s. Nobody of us would have expected how elegant some of their "coiture tailored" designs were (this one is a standard model of them). Andreas.Pichler Posted July 1, 2012 Share #3648 Posted July 1, 2012 ...and finally found steering wheel and speedometer in the same car: Aero 30 Roadster, built in Prague in the thirties, around 8,000 cars produced. Cheers, Andreas
Rona!d Posted July 1, 2012 Share #3649 Posted July 1, 2012 ...and finally found steering wheel and speedometer in the same car: Aero 30 Roadster, built in Prague in the thirties, around 8,000 cars produced. Cheers, Andreas Thanks, that´s it. At the moment my harddrive with the photos of the complete car is not in reach. So just google for Aero 30. That company still exist as a manufacturer of planes which they started to make in the 1920s. For car enthusiasts I´ll provide a link to very cool designed larger cars of them later. So Andreas, your turn again!
Andreas.Pichler Posted July 1, 2012 Share #3650 Posted July 1, 2012 Thank you Ronald for this piuzzle. The czech automobil manufactureres are really underestimated - Aero, Skoda and nit to mention Tatra - there as so much enginering brain behind these marquees - thanks again for the flashlight. After we have had a glimpse "over the pond" - up to another: Maker and model, please! Cheers, Andreas Welcome, dear visitor! Rona!d Posted July 1, 2012 Share #3651 Posted July 1, 2012 (edited) Without any checking, is that a Cord? p.s. Skoda (Laurin Klement) made some awesome vehicles. Aero and Tatra as well. Completely underestimated. I had the chance for an insight in the Skoda archive and museum in Mladá Boleslav some years ago, really nice! pps. Here my promised Aero link.
