stuny Posted October 2, 2010 Share #443 Posted October 2, 2010 The nice thing about this car is that you can't even recognize it in the full Monty, and might not even recognize it with a close-up of the logo. I'm guessing a very recent electric. The seating makes me think of the McLaren M1 -- Perhaps the same designer? On second thought, there's only one seat, not three. LuxBob Posted October 2, 2010 Share #445 Posted October 2, 2010 It's not a secret to say that it is German. It is not electric. It is supposed to have Smart diesel engine I believe, however the logo on the side indicates it might use some form of gas power. It can also do 100 mph and return the equiv of 82 mpg or 2.8l/100kms. And the name is ......

gmo Posted October 4, 2010 Share #448 Posted October 4, 2010 Thanks, so here is the next one. I have no idea if it's going to be easy or not. So please type and coachbuilder . But the make of the car should not be too big a problem from what is visible in the photgraph. Regards Gerd Welcome, dear visitor! kkochheiser Posted October 5, 2010 Share #449 Posted October 5, 2010 Thant looks a bit like an Alfa Romeo 2000 Sprint with a Vignale body that I've seen, although that one was green. Kent
kkochheiser Posted October 5, 2010 Share #450 Posted October 5, 2010 Although it might also be a more "common" (not very common!) Touring bodied Spider. Kent
LuxBob Posted October 5, 2010 Share #451 Posted October 5, 2010 Although it might also be a more "common" (not very common!) Touring bodied Spider. Kent And for that final point, what is the name of the owner's dog and does he allow the dog into the car?
stuny Posted October 5, 2010 Share #452 Posted October 5, 2010 (edited) I agree about the Alfa 2000 spider, probably from about 1960. The spider was designed by Michelotti and most were built by Vignale in Touring. However, some chassis that were bought by Vignale made their way to Ghia (though I don't know how) so this might be a Ghia version -- Note the chrome script in the picture seems to have a Ghia style G. In answer to Bob's questions, Cujo (an espcially small Lhasa Apso) and no. Edited October 5, 2010 by stuny
kkochheiser Posted October 5, 2010 Share #453 Posted October 5, 2010 Actually Stuart I was thinking of the Carrozzeria Touring (Milano) bodied 2000 Spider (circa 1960) that was I believe designed by Carlo Anderloni. I'll admit that the hood script has me scratching my head, doesn't quite look like the "Superleggera" script used by Touring nor the G of Ghia. gmo Posted October 5, 2010 Share #454 Posted October 5, 2010 Kent, You can stick with your first reply. Alfa 2000-S Vignale (a 1958 coupé although apparently on a Spider chassis) seen at the Dutch Alfa Club meeting "Spettacolo Sportivo" this year as part of the 100 year Alfa line-up. gmo Posted October 5, 2010 Share #455 Posted October 5, 2010 Stuart, I suppose the G just stands for Giovanni form Giovanni Michelotti. Regards Gerd
