Advertisement Posted March 24, 2010 Posted March 24, 2010 Hi LeicaS2, Take a look here CS5 content aware fill. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
delander † Posted March 24, 2010 Share #2 Posted March 24, 2010 Yes that looks amazing, even if it has problems when viewed full size it should give a good starting point for more detailed cleanup. Jeff

Rick Posted March 30, 2010 Share #4 Posted March 30, 2010 A friend of mine who is a printer and owns a graphics dept. sent that to me and asked if I thought it was real. Is it?

dcoombs Posted March 30, 2010 Share #6 Posted March 30, 2010 On the one hand I admire the programing talent that was able to create this facility. On the other hand I find it rather "creepy". Will there be no concept of recording history left in photography? You can basically create your own image as you choose. Doug

ho_co Posted March 31, 2010 Share #8 Posted March 31, 2010 ... I find it rather "creepy". Will there be no concept of recording history left in photography? You can basically create your own image as you choose. You're right. See particularly the "Featured Comment" by David Bostedo at The Online Photographer: Content-Aware Fill in Photoshop CS5?. A lot of us are just beginning to understand what Erwin Puts meant in Nov 2003 in "Death of photography or why the concept of 'digital photography' is doomed to die soon" (article then at http://www.imx.nl/photosite/comments/c003.html, now moved), and again in July 2007 in Photography does not exist. After Mr Puts took some heat on the matter, Mike Johnston tried to explain it to his readership in August 2007 in The Online Photographer: Digital and its Discontents, and also stirred a fair amount of misunderstanding and distrust. Now I think we're all beginning to see what they were talking about.

adan Posted April 1, 2010 Share #11 Posted April 1, 2010 On those days when there is a spate of forum posts by people who obviously did not read the whole thread before posting* - it occurs to me that "Content-Aware Fill" would be an excellent upgrade feature for the human brain. *Not this thread, BTW.
