Congratulations to Andy and Steve and those behind the scenes on a job well done. A worthy cause and the resulting book will I’m sure be a reflection of their dedication and hard work and the talent too of those whose photographs were selected.

Well done everyone!

Charles

Certainly Steve has been a driving force and deserves accolades for his tireless rounding up of editors and others. Well done Steve! Thank you.

A question regarding submissions. What colour space should they be in for printing the book? sRGB or Adobe RGB? I think it is important to get that standardized and correct.

sRGB.

There appear to be no attributions on your site Steve. Some of the stuff I dont recognise. Is there a list of names against photos anywhere?

There will be. I spent the best part of a day on the project on Sunday and ran out of time. I thought it best to get the photographs on the website and sort out the other details later.

Erl, as Andy says they should be sRGB. I deliberately didn't mention the colour space because there may be people using editing programs that aren't colour space aware. It's easier for the book compiler to convert everything to sRGB rather than sort out which are already in that space and which aren't.

What a wonderful selection of images! Kudos to those who made the cut and thank you to all involved who are working hard to make this happen. If nothing else it was a treat to submit and participate.

Again, way to go everybody! I will look forward to seeing the layout once it's done!

Congratulations to everyone selected for a truely outstanding set of images - and congratulations to the editorial team and in particular to Steve for a major job of work well done.

I'll look forward to getting a copy of the book (thinks: Wonder how I'll get it signed......)

Well done Steve and Andy for the huge amount of dedicated time that all this has taken. I am sure that the book will be a resounding success and of a quality to echo that of the beloved cameras and lenses used in making the published images.

Many thanks also from my side to Steve and everyone involved so far for making this great idea becoming a reality. I look forward to holding the book in my hands!

I am just wondering why less than 600 photos were contributed in a photo forum with almost 8000 active users... Maybe the main interest really is on discussing equipment and not on using it??? Just speculation of course. ;)

Some lovely images in there, and a big thank you to Steve and everyone involved.

BTW, is the "Stairs" image, #11 in Architecture, turned on its side - or have I just had a long day?

Well if it isn't it's a strange set of stairs!:D
