andybarton Posted March 8, 2010 Share #22 Posted March 8, 2010 Certainly Steve has been a driving force and deserves accolades for his tireless rounding up of editors and others. Well done Steve! Thank you. A question regarding submissions. What colour space should they be in for printing the book? sRGB or Adobe RGB? I think it is important to get that standardized and correct. sRGB. stunsworth Posted March 8, 2010 Author Share #26 Posted March 8, 2010 There appear to be no attributions on your site Steve. Some of the stuff I dont recognise. Is there a list of names against photos anywhere? There will be. I spent the best part of a day on the project on Sunday and ran out of time. I thought it best to get the photographs on the website and sort out the other details later.

What colour space should they be in for printing the book? sRGB or Adobe RGB? I think it is important to get that standardized and correct. Erl, as Andy says they should be sRGB. I deliberately didn't mention the colour space because there may be people using editing programs that aren't colour space aware. It's easier for the book compiler to convert everything to sRGB rather than sort out which are already in that space and which aren't.
erl Posted March 8, 2010 Share #28 Posted March 8, 2010 Steve & Andy, thanks for the quick response. I will send mine in tomorrow.

dhsimmonds Posted March 9, 2010 Share #35 Posted March 9, 2010 Well done Steve and Andy for the huge amount of dedicated time that all this has taken. I am sure that the book will be a resounding success and of a quality to echo that of the beloved cameras and lenses used in making the published images. Wolfgang Esslinger Posted March 9, 2010 Share #36 Posted March 9, 2010 Many thanks also from my side to Steve and everyone involved so far for making this great idea becoming a reality. I look forward to holding the book in my hands! I am just wondering why less than 600 photos were contributed in a photo forum with almost 8000 active users... Maybe the main interest really is on discussing equipment and not on using it??? Just speculation of course.
giordano Posted March 9, 2010 Share #37 Posted March 9, 2010 Some lovely images in there, and a big thank you to Steve and everyone involved. BTW, is the "Stairs" image, #11 in Architecture, turned on its side - or have I just had a long day?

Steve Ash Posted March 9, 2010 Share #39 Posted March 9, 2010 As the size and dpis of the images are fixed are there any recommendation regarding the sharpening paramters in capture one to be chosen for best quality? Regards Steve
andybarton Posted March 9, 2010 Share #40 Posted March 9, 2010 Sharpening is entirely up to the photographer. All the compilers will do is make sure that the files are in sRGB. No other adjustments will be made.
