Ece, love the composition and light. But somehow seems over processed to my eye---regarding softness and toning. I would try some other variations and suspect slight changes will have big impact. I would even add some vignetting. Just a matter of taste, but fur such a nice image may be worth going back to.

Mike, Herb, Stuart, Paul, Alberto, Ed, and Virgil,

Thank you for your thoughtful and generous comments. As always, they are much appreciated. It's a place that gives me delight and it's a pleasure to share it, even in a limited way.

Virgil, thank you for your very helpful input. I appreciate it very much. I made some subtle changes along the lines you've suggested. It can use more work but as you say it's also a fine balance between tuning it and going overboard (I'm not good at this :o ). Here is the reworked version:

Paul,

I appreciate your taking the time to look at this version and giving me your opinion. I understand the elements that crystallize for you as you look at the two versions and your preference for the first, and I have to say that I resonate toward the first along the same lines as you do. When I first came upon this scene, it looked so pretty, and also overwhelmingly out of place, felt like it belonged to another time, another place. When I processed the first version, my initial reaction to the scene was still strong in my being and I tried to express it through the PP decisions I made. I guess it is very personal, and though I am sure the image can be tweaked to make it better, I don't really know how to do that without muting the emotional content and feel of the first version.

Best regards,

Ece

i too agree that this MAY not be quite right yet, but at the same time im still hesitant to

say more less sharper etc. because i think you have strong vision and youre in that fragile state where

youre still discovering your own vision (in PP)

also i dont know if your final is to be print or screen. often when printed things change.

anyway keep going, and i love where youre going.

best,melissa
