pauledell Posted January 25, 2010 Share #4 Posted January 25, 2010 I like the first one most. Great composition with the depth and also the shadows in the foreground, nice tones, lighting and sharpness. Paul
ldhrads Posted January 25, 2010 Share #5 Posted January 25, 2010 I love the silvery glow on the first one, it's amazing.
Ed_K Posted January 26, 2010 Share #6 Posted January 26, 2010 Despite the 2nd one approach feels more direct with a nice clean background, i prefer the 1st one more probably because of the mood it carries on from the surroundings, thank you for sharing, Holger. azzo Posted January 27, 2010 Share #8 Posted January 27, 2010 Holger, #1 is more appealing IMHO. .. Nicely composed and presented even though, I've no idea what it is. ..
albert Posted January 28, 2010 Share #9 Posted January 28, 2010 Holger, Is( five ears of corn on one stalk) unusual ? I would think so. Excellent discovery and very nice photography.
holgerf Posted January 28, 2010 Author Share #10 Posted January 28, 2010 Holger, Is( five ears of corn on one stalk) unusual ? I have no idea… What you see on the photo is a stalk similar to those in the background. The snow is indeed a snow-covered and frozen small lake. The stalk must have been bended down into the water before the lake froze. Best Holger
vdb Posted January 31, 2010 Share #11 Posted January 31, 2010 I prefer the second for it's simplicity. Lovely, soothing patterns.
leicamann Posted February 1, 2010 Share #12 Posted February 1, 2010 They are all nice.... it also captures a certain mood of this time of the year/light/winter. Thanks for sharing Cheers, JRM
cbretteville Posted February 11, 2010 Share #13 Posted February 11, 2010 Good shots both, but to me the snow in the first one is too gray. Looks about 2/3 to 1 stop underexposed. 2nd one is spot on. Carl
