Jeff S Posted February 11, 2010 Author Share #81 Posted February 11, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) No offense taken, Maurizio. I don't care either, having all the lenses I need. We have almost 4 feet of new snow on the ground here in Baltimore (typical total for entire winter is about 2.5 feet)...so, I have more time inside to amuse myself. Think I should go out now and find some interesting photos. Jeff

Jeff Actually, our usual is 18" per year, with the last two years being less than a foot. And another storm approaching late this next weekend. The snow has certainly been interesting working with exposure- a great exercise for one getting back into rangefinder photography- with a 35 lux. With the apertures I had to work with, focus shift has not been an issue
Jeff S Posted February 11, 2010 Author Share #84 Posted February 11, 2010 Actually, our usual is 18" per year, with the last two years being less than a foot. Male habit...overestimating inches. That just makes our season total so far, close to 80 inches, more impressive....already well past prior record of 62.5 inches...according to a reliable female source. Hope you made some nice photos. Peter, the only thing for sure is... the description of the lens is the same as the old one... In that link, only the price is a news. kemal_mumcu Posted February 18, 2010 Share #97 Posted February 18, 2010 I still think the 35 'lux was sneaked out back during the 9/9/9 preview video. Everyone was so focused on the M9 that the lens was overlooked. Check again. The hood arrangement - specifically the knurled ring for the hood on the preview is missing. Check again from frame 58ish. ps - sorry, I've got nothing better to do today.

It could be, ok, but as I used that kind of hood with the 35lux (and 28cron FWIW) for a while, which is a bit different from the "usual", and it's a Leica original spare parts, I still have some doubts. let me show you my hood: Welcome, dear visitor! horosu Posted February 19, 2010 Share #99 Posted February 19, 2010 My dealer confirmed that a new Summilux 35 ASPH is coming. It will be available in shop from May 1st. This is Central/Eastern Europe's biggest Leica dealer, so I think it is pretty accurate.
