stuny Posted December 28, 2009 Share #2 Posted December 28, 2009 Charlie - Actually SLR, isn't it? Regardless, your image is lovely and stimulating.
elansprint72 Posted December 28, 2009 Share #3 Posted December 28, 2009 Crosthwaite and Gardiner, again? Is there no German car that they have not reproduced? Ron?
topoxforddoc Posted December 29, 2009 Author Share #4 Posted December 29, 2009 Stu and Pete, Thanks. I think it's Moss's original car from 1955. According to the Goodwood Revival programme this year (celebrating Stirling's 80th birthday), this is chassis 3059, in which he won the Nurburgring 1000km in 1955. Here's another shot. topoxforddoc Posted December 30, 2009 Author Share #11 Posted December 30, 2009 Paul, Gary, John, Stu & Pete, Thank you for your comments. Paul, the sharpness and colour is entirely down to the 28-90 asph and the DMR. The DMR is extraordinary in its colour rendition and is the closest, I think, to my favourite, kodachrome. Gary, if you'd like one, speak to Pete and he'll ask Crosthwaite and Gardiner to build you one! Best wishes,
ijporter Posted January 11, 2010 Share #12 Posted January 11, 2010 It was odd to read of 722 as the 'ex Stirling Moss' 300SLR - I think they're still married! Regards, Ian
