Unfortunately I have sold most of my Leica film cameras, but I do still have 10 film cameras. Of which 7 are fully working (Restored as necessary to original condition.), with 6 that are in regular use. Voigtlander Perkeo, Agfa Isolette , Zorki 4, Nikon F, F2, F3, F5, a Leica C11, a Genos, and a Kodak Box-Brownie. The F3 is loaded up with Kodachrome and will be accompanying me on holiday next week. :)

Fuji GX617

Fuji GSW690111

Hasselblad 503CW

Leica MP

Yashica T5

I still make money from using some of this stuff. Hanging on to all of it is probably not the most sensible business plan, but sometimes the heart rules the head!

I refuse, to safe on a Leica M9, so I just picked up a nice Nikon "The Tank" F5. It is such a great camera, that I got a new 24 f1.4 to go with it a few days later as well ;-)

So my film cameras, that I use between:

- occasionally one roll (Rollei 35) over

- a few rolls at a time (Nikon FM3a),

- some wide angle shooting, always loaded with successive usage (M6 0.72),

- some longer lens and AE exposure use with Leica glass (M7)

- now to the heavy gun Nikon F5, that is used as my snap shot camera lately (24 f1.4 AF-S, 50 f1.4 AF-S and 70-200 VR).

Buy film cameras and use them with your favorite film regularly, to keep film manufacturers busy ;-)

Film is great and heaving a few very different film cameras does make fun, using them, as the mood comes and goes.

Ciao Steve

I've two film cameras, although not Leicas, and still use them. Namely, Nikon F6 and FM3A.

Among the Leicas, as soon as they are available at a good price here, I'd like to get an R8 or even a R9.. but whatever comes is fine for me. I was on the point to get one for a ridiculous price but the website selling it hadn't updated the status and someone got it just 15 minutes before my offer.

Pocketable size aside, I'm not yet tempted by the Ms, although I recognize which tremendous power they have in the right hands and eyes. It's a different way to face photographic subjects that doesn't cope with me yet. I think it's kind of innate ability the possibility to see subjects through a RF rather than a SLR.

So the battery challenged M8.2 doesn't hurt too much then ;-)

no....just inconvenient..my real 'love' is film.

Want the M8 for tomorrow evening as I am giving a party at home and want to give the guests something a bit special and fast;)

otherwise its film that I prefer

Deardorff 8x10 with lenses from 76mm (military) to 14 3/4".( Deardorff is WAY over-rated.)

Very rare Pacific Optical three-inch (76mm, not 75mm) lens over 4x5 (not the one you see at Steve Grimes' site) Much larger. Ask for images.

Kodak Orbit 8x10 monster (This camera will never, ever drop movements once set.)

Century One (original 1902) 8x10 - The most lightweight 8x10 I have ever had. Front is limited to rise.

Linhof Super Technika V 4x5 w/many lenses including Planar 135mm and 75mm Biogon and all cams, and all accessories.

My handmade 4x5 w/47mm F/5.6 Super-Angulon

Sinar 4x5

Linhof 4x5 Color

6xm X 12cm Horseman w/35mm Grandagon over 120 film

Brooks Veriwide F/5.6 (not the Real wide format. See next.)

Plaubel Veriwide 47mm F/8 over 120 (Made to fit the true 6x9 of the Focomat IIa and IIc)

Hasselblad, kit (80mm, 50mm, 150mm)

Hasselblad Super-Wide (38mm)

Leicas M4 (six of them), M7 (two), M4-P and MD-2 with Summilux lenses 35mm pre-asph, Summicron 50mm and 75mm plus 15mm Voiglander (which sucks)

...and many more... such as Nikon F and Olympus F (not FT) and lenses and others I cannot remember at the moment... plus a few handmade large format cameras using unusual old lenses you never heard of.

Nikon FM - used heaps in 80's - used maybe once a month now

Nikon n8008s - used a little in 90's - not used at all

Leica M4 - last 2 years & forever

Leica mp - last 2 years & forever

Hasselblad 503cx - last 2 years and maybe once a month

Printing in the darkroom is just so much more fulfilling than scanning to a PC screen. While scanning is great for internet presentation I just prefer and love a wet print.
