Inland from the Istrian Peninsula of Croatia is a national park with hundreds of waterfalls and lakes, which appear by their color to be glacially fed. It is a ridiculously busy tourist attraction, and we can’t even conceive of what the crowds would be during the summer holidays. this section is a bit out of the way, but I still had to wait until there were not very many people in the shot.

Our fall trip was to Croatia, traveling through (and stopping both ways) Budapest. So much was photo-worthy that I placed the photos in five separate galleries on our site: 1 for Budapest, 1 each for three regions of Croatia, and one for Croatian museums. You can also read Barbara’s trip notes on Croatia, but she is still working on the Budapest notes

Paul - Thank you.

John - Thank you. In fact, Barbara's French is so good that when we're in Paris the natives know that her accent is not from Paris, so they ask what prvince she's from. In Quebec province she is treated as royalty since her French sounds like native French.

Stuart, this is exactly why I don't like you much. While some of us (like myself) sit in back-to-back 4 hour lecture, you get to travel to these beautiful destinations and capture them.

The more I enjoy this photo, the more I dislike you. As of right now, I dislike you very much. :)
