delander † Posted December 10, 2009 Share #6 Posted December 10, 2009 Saw this for the first time today. One of those ads where you have to wait or guess what they are selling. For a moment I thought it was a Leica TV ad. Jeff
stunsworth Posted December 10, 2009 Share #7 Posted December 10, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) The delightful Audrey Tautou, <sigh>, she can fondle my M8 anytime. I'd heard about the ad, but only saw it for the first time last week. Once thing they won't be selling are Orient Express tickets - the service has been axed. simon8202 Posted December 10, 2009 Share #11 Posted December 10, 2009 you're getting your 'Orient Expresses' mixed up. The super luxury service is separate and carries on as ever. The actual service which is called 'Orient express' in the public timetable is being axed due to lack of use. As a train conductor with a Leica who has a thing for Audrey this advert ticks all the boxes for me!

Nicoleica Posted December 10, 2009 Share #13 Posted December 10, 2009 My apologies for getting my trains confused. However, I still think an M8 outing on the Venice-Simplon train would be a nice idea.
stunsworth Posted December 10, 2009 Share #14 Posted December 10, 2009 However, I still think an M8 outing on the Venice-Simplon train would be a nice idea. Well next year's forum challenge is in Venice on the 16th of October. Here are a list of the train's dates... Venice Simplon-Orient-Express - Luxury Train Journeys to Venice, Paris, London, Istanbul - Calendar There's a train that would arrive in Venice on the 15th. Just about perfect for a quick look around before the competition arrives. A bit on the expensive side at just under 2,500 GBP per person though. josephgalilee Posted December 12, 2009 Share #15 Posted December 12, 2009 The beautiful french actress Audrey Tautou on this spot with her discreet charm, represent the right testimonial for the timeless precious fashion of the Chanel n°5, complemented by the presence of the Leica M8 in an atmosphere full of sensual emotions. The 90/2 Apo ASPH. grafted on the M8, is the lens good for the moment, unique, do not miss. Well done Chanel, well done Leitz Camera! Cheers
josephgalilee Posted December 12, 2009 Share #16 Posted December 12, 2009 The parfum Chanel TV spot show an gentle nice woman take furtive picture with a Leica M8 and 90/2 APO ASPH. luigi bertolotti Posted December 12, 2009 Share #17 Posted December 12, 2009 Nice... pity the Orient Express has just made its last trip in these days... anyway, no other camera could fit such an atmosphere... ... can you imagine such a fascinating lady holdly gently a big DSLR or standing arms out to spot the LCD of a trivial P&S ? andit Posted December 14, 2009 Share #18 Posted December 14, 2009 I happened to see this advert by complete accident. I was walking through the living room and had the television on (RTL), when, all of a sudden I saw this lady holding a Leica. Naturally, I stopped to see what was being advertised. I thought Leica had started an ad campaign for the M9. It was only at the end that I saw it was for Chanel. Excellent for Leica, well done.
