you're getting your 'Orient Expresses' mixed up. The super luxury service is separate and carries on as ever. The actual service which is called 'Orient express' in the public timetable is being axed due to lack of use.

As a train conductor with a Leica who has a thing for Audrey this advert ticks all the boxes for me!

However, I still think an M8 outing on the Venice-Simplon train would be a nice idea. :)

Well next year's forum challenge is in Venice on the 16th of October. Here are a list of the train's dates...

Venice Simplon-Orient-Express - Luxury Train Journeys to Venice, Paris, London, Istanbul - Calendar

There's a train that would arrive in Venice on the 15th. Just about perfect for a quick look around before the competition arrives. A bit on the expensive side at just under 2,500 GBP per person though.

The beautiful french actress Audrey Tautou on this spot with her discreet charm, represent the right testimonial for the timeless precious fashion of the Chanel n°5, complemented by the presence of the Leica M8 in an atmosphere full of sensual emotions. The 90/2 Apo ASPH. grafted on the M8, is the lens good for the moment, unique, do not miss.

Well done Chanel, well done Leitz Camera!

Cheers

I happened to see this advert by complete accident. I was walking through the living room and had the television on (RTL), when, all of a sudden I saw this lady holding a Leica. Naturally, I stopped to see what was being advertised. I thought Leica had started an ad campaign for the M9. It was only at the end that I saw it was for Chanel. Excellent for Leica, well done.

Poor you Andreas.

I would admit to stopping and watching Audrey Tautou, but not a Leica :)
