Advertisement Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 Hi semrich, Take a look here A Little Color. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
stuny Posted November 30, 2006 Share #2 Â Posted November 30, 2006 Richard - Â Very nice, and I'm embarrassed to say that I've never noticed this and will have to look. I very much like the angle, the geometry and the stark contrast between the B&W seeming hotel and the multicolor decoration. Â Are you still in town? Want some recommendations? Sandokan Posted November 30, 2006 Share #3 Â Posted November 30, 2006 Hi Stuart and Richard, Â I am in town and have taken a couple of reels of night scenes (the only time I seem to be allowed out) from top of Empire State and also from Weehawken. Any other recommendations?

semrich Posted December 6, 2006 Author Share #7 Â Posted December 6, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) Stuart - I only noticed this when I was on the overpass to look for any good shots down 42nd street. You noticed the same thing I did and it was the stark black and grey of the building and the color palette that prompted the shot. No CS2 skills needed here to acheive the effect. Â Ravi - Sorry I couldn't offer suggestions, I don't even know if you were still there when I noticed your post. Â John - Thank You. Â Ivan - Thanks, for this shot I remember the feeling, I put my eye to the viewfinder and it was as if the camera moved itself to that angle it was as if it had to be that way. Â Brian - Thanks, I felt lucky seeing this when it came up on my monitor. Some time in the future when I get into printing my images this is going to be one of them. Sandokan Posted December 6, 2006 Share #8 Â Posted December 6, 2006 Hi Richard - no I moved onto Rio and Sao Paulo. I hoped to get films developed and put onto CD in Brazil but the shop wanted equiv. US$43 for 36 exposures, so I will wait another few weeks until I get home.
