stuny Posted October 26, 2009 Share #1 Posted October 26, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) Friday night we went to see Leonard Cohen perform at Madison Square Garden. He was electrifying, charming and gracious, his troupe superb, and the balance of the sound perfect. It’s worth catching his concert, if you can, while he is still performing. Michael Hiles Posted October 26, 2009 Share #2 Posted October 26, 2009 Stuart, You pictures are great, and so is Leonard. He is a poet close to my heart, and a wonderful maker of images in the mind. He is fixture and hero here in Montreal, his home. One reason for this tour, I speculate, is that 3-5 years ago he was swindled by his manager out of most of his life savings and retirement nest egg, and I think he needs the money. Bit of a tragic story, but the tour has been very successful, and I hope his financial stresses are being reduced.

stuny Posted October 26, 2009 Author Share #10 Posted October 26, 2009 Michael, Jean-Luc, Ben, William, Mike, Martin, Wilfredo and Ivan - Thank you. He is a wonderful poet, and his voice and delivery are enchanting. He's not the best tunesmith (though some like Halleluiah are superb), but that's fine.
