billh Posted November 25, 2006 Share #4 Posted November 25, 2006 This is one of the finest photos I’ve seen posted here. Of course the subject matter is my favorite, but the composition, the timing, and the absolute total confidence - one would not be amiss to say defiance - you captured by releasing the shutter at this precise instant all combine to make this really special. Screw you people and your silly rules! Good for him. And you you for capturing and sharing with us.
earleygallery Posted November 25, 2006 Share #5 Posted November 25, 2006 Well he's being a good doggy and keeping off the beach! Good shot!
stunsworth Posted November 25, 2006 Share #6 Posted November 25, 2006 Nice shot Kim, but it works better in b&w IMHO - I would say that :-) - where it's approaching Elliot Erwitt territory. Let me know if you want me to illustrate this with an example.

sunafan Posted November 26, 2006 Share #8 Posted November 26, 2006 Kim, on my 15 inch screen I could only see from the top down to the wall on a first glance. Scrolling down and seeing the "real" dog - BTW he should have been the model for the sign - I couldn't stop smiling for a long while, actually I still do. In my opinion, perfect capturing of the moment. Suna

stuny Posted November 27, 2006 Share #10 Posted November 27, 2006 Kim - Welcome to the Forum, and please keep posting. This is lovely for its"moment", light, crisp shadows, contrast between the regimented walkway and the randomly marked sand, and its nearly monochrome look.
