I continue to experiment with what I call the "Norman Rockwell Effect" using Color Efex Pro. It all starts with a good RAW file. I went back to Seal Beach, CA. this morning and got these shots using the 90mm Elmarit M lens.

Wilfredo,

What a wonderful series! Each picture has great composition, colors, sharpness and moment. You have captured each of these like it was an orchestrated pose. Wilfredo is the conductor and your subjects, the characters. Bravo!!!

Wilfredo,

I agree with the others. Excellent series. Your goal of recalling Norman Rockwell was clearly accomplished with the picture of the boy with the fish! I'm not sure how you are doing these but the results are very impressive.

Thank you all. Yes, I agree #3 is the most Rockwell in appearance. That young boy was really happy with his catch. As I mentioned earlier, I've been using Color Efex Pro, mostly the Tonal Contrast filter in conjunction with PSCS4. Tonal Contrast gives you plenty of control of shadows, mid-tones and highlights and you can go as easy or as strong as you like.

Thanks again for the uplifting comments.

Wilfredo, I've totally missed this series (the silly thread that took me here had an utility in the end). What an awfully beautiful bunch of splendid pictures. And I love these colours. The one with the fisherman carrying the big catch is outstanding.
