Advertisement Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 Hi Doc Henry, Take a look here Bridesmaid and 90 Macro Elmar. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
antistatic Posted May 10, 2009 Share #2 Posted May 10, 2009 Nice tones and composition. If that is the bridesmaids' hat then what was the bride wearing? Unfortunately my eye is drawn to the left arm of our crucified Lord in the background.
biglouis Posted May 10, 2009 Share #3 Posted May 10, 2009 Good exposition of the use of this lens. Very nice capture. LouisB
Neil Macmillan Posted May 10, 2009 Share #4 Posted May 10, 2009 ... my eye is drawn to the left arm of our crucified Lord in the background. Well yes, but a little touch of PP would de-emphasize that. My own eye is distracted by the blocked out detail on the collar; again some PP would likely take that down. Aside from these minor items, this is a great shot that captures the elegance of the event. The 90 Macro Elmar is a favourite lens of mine as well; ideal partner to my 28 Elmarit. And with the M8, that is my complete outfit: very compact.

The macro 90 mm is a practical optics, it takes less place in comparison with the Apo Summicron 90mm (who is more luminous) and i also often leave it on my second M8 to take portraits. allamande Posted May 17, 2009 Share #20 Posted May 17, 2009 Henry, I am late coming to this post. I very much like the color version, because: 1. that pink is totally lovely and goes perfectly with her smile, and 2. it separates her out nicely from the background. Beautiful capture!
