I am not a good portrait shooter. However, I have just acquired a 1954 Summarit 50mm, 1.5 LTM. Two of my nieces were kind enough to be test models.

I am really very happy with the lens performance and I believe there is a learning curve in exposure when full open as well as in PP.

The first picture is M9P+ Summarit@2.8 and the second is full open.

Steve, Stuart, Ali...&al thank you for your observations and thanks.

mv_kls , nice and creative shooting with the Summarit. Always good to see a comparative.

I was mostly interested how to master this older lens with digital sensor and PP ; so far I must say I find it producing pleasant pictures Full open.

The results get sensibly better if underexposed .7 stops and with the "structure" slider pushed up a bit in PP.
