Blende-Vier Posted July 8, 2014 Author Share #2 Posted July 8, 2014 i probably try to post the question in english: i own a digilux 2 since last week. i would like to estimate the "condition of use" by the shutter-counts (av. 8000). is the camera " normal used" or " very much used" and is there any estimated end of funktion/use by the amount of shutter-counts ( 100.000 , 500.000 , 1.000.000) ? best regards, Jo
Guytou Posted July 8, 2014 Share #3 Posted July 8, 2014 An excellent description of Thorsten Overgaard here : leica.overgaard.dk - Thorsten Overgaard's Leica Sites - Leica Digilux 2 sample photos and tests (as well as Panasonic DMC-LC1) - Page 1 of 5 At the bottom of the page 4 you will find the answer to your question. Good reading ! Guy

jaapv Posted July 9, 2014 Share #6 Posted July 9, 2014 (edited) 8000 is a very low shutter count for a camera that is a decade old. An average photographer would expect to shoot 8000 in (maybe even considerably) less than a year. Leica has never published figures. For a low-level amateur camera 50.000 would be acceptable, a professional/prosumer camera is usually designed for at least 150.000 actuations.
