rondeb Posted October 6, 2009 Share #3 Posted October 6, 2009 The image quality is really amazing. I love everything except the shutter delay - which I'm hoping to be changed via firmware. -Ron

I am very happy as I have saved $7000 and still use a M8.

Guest EarlBurrellPhoto Posted October 6, 2009 Share #12 Posted October 6, 2009 A little rough around the edges with that post. I am very happy as I have saved $7000 and still use a M8. +1 and my M8s are still making money for me. Haven't had a single client who said "Either you buy an M9 or else I'm taking my business to someone who has." Although my dentist showed me his tongue and went "Nyah nyah, look what I can afford!" (Ok, I made that last one up. My dentist shoots Canon.)

biglouis Posted October 6, 2009 Share #15 Posted October 6, 2009 Can I ask if owners have noticed that it takes longer to store a capture? I'm sure when I was testing one a few weeks back I was surprised at the lag after a capture while the picture was being written to the SD card. Just be interested to know if that is or is not users' experience. LouisB
chris_tribble Posted October 6, 2009 Share #16 Posted October 6, 2009 Very happy - and planning the second one. Can I ask if owners have noticed that it takes longer to store a capture? I'm sure when I was testing one a few weeks back I was surprised at the lag after a capture while the picture was being written to the SD card. Just be interested to know if that is or is not users' experience.LouisB The difference is in the file size... writing to 8GB Sandisk Exteme III is good and I've never had the camera freeze.. Post process imposes more of a strain on computing resources - but so do images from my 5D Mk2. Planning to shift to Windows 7 64bit systems in a bit - REALLY impressed when I tried Lightroom with the Beta - but too much of a hassle / expense to shift from XP for the moment...
