Any society should be judged by the way they treat those, who cannot fight for themselvesP

Perhaps even more to the point, so should any person be judged in this manner...

That is a strikingly good photograph.

Either he/she is well trained and cooperative, or you somehow managed to wear him out. These are very, very busy, highly intelligent dogs.

Thanks guys.

Her name is Caisy ... and indeed she is outdoors pretty busy and almost too intelligent for us :D . But we managed to train her to the point where she just sits and waits ... the hard part is to catch her with a decent look :) .

Hi HP,

Do you have Frisbees in Germany? If not, I will be happy to send some to you. Caisy will love catching them. If you don't know what they are, here is a photo -

Of course we do :D ... and she likes them.

But there is one thing she realy crazy about: a Knuddel (Sample-Picture) - it's nothing more then a thick rope with two knots ...

BTW: Nice shot with the frisbee catching dog :-).

Thanks. We have these ropes too. If she likes the tug rope, she would surely like one of these toys:

They also love these balls - soccer balls too actually, although they puncture them immediately.

This is a favorite game with people - we call it ‘Chase the Primate’. Someone hides, then the dogs try to find the hidden person. They get incredibly excited about this game and take it very seriously. Each one seeks to be the one that first finds the hidden person:

HP -

Very nice "portrait" style shot of your dog, with appealing colors and selected focus. Have you ever seen one of this breed around a group of small children? They frequently herd the children.

Our Bouviers do that too, and some of them keep the childen in line if they get too unruly (they do this with puppies too). We had one, a female, who insisted on swimming out into the ocean to “rescue” any humans she saw there. She did the same thing at home in the pool. As long as you were standing in the shallow end, it was fine, but the moment anyone goes into the deep water, she would become extremely agitated and swim out to get them and herd them out or back to shallow water.

Here is an old photo (I apologize for the quality) of Niko rounding up an errant member of the flock.

Caisy has indeed a tendency to herd any group she is traveling with - but not at an annoying rate, rather a quite struggle to keep us all together. She is most of the times more busy with her toys :D .

Great shot! The color background is superb! The Border Collie - ahhh, great dogs, I've got a male. I got back some Kodachrome the other day and he happened to appear in a few frames. I'll post one and we can compare the way a M8 renders a Border Collie versus a MP. This is just one more shot that despite whatever is said about the M8, I'm sold.
