van halen Posted September 29, 2009 Share #1 Posted September 29, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) m8, 50mm cron. the lighting was tough being this attraction was half inside and half outside, but the only casuality was pig 12 and cropping him out ruins the pic imho. i happen to really like the colors. hope you enjoy. Advertisement Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 Hi van halen, Take a look here 12 little pigs. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Marquinius Posted September 29, 2009 Share #2 Posted September 29, 2009 Well, I enjoy it! And piggy #12 is OK on my screen, certainly when you take the overall lighting into account. I really like the lines that play in this photo, all diagonals. Well seen, well done.

stuny Posted September 30, 2009 Share #6 Posted September 30, 2009 Eddie - Delightful for composition, angle, depth, color and its ability to cause a rush of memories and stories of "going down that shore."

ddp Posted September 30, 2009 Share #10 Posted September 30, 2009 Your Jersey shore shots have some great color to them...is this typical of the 50 Summicron / M8 combo? Almost a vintage look....and it's just great with this subject matter.
van halen Posted September 30, 2009 Author Share #11 Posted September 30, 2009 most of my fav shots have come with the 50 cron specifically stopped down to 4.0. In addition, I have recently gone to manual exposure exclusively, which imho has helped with the richness of colors and tone. I don't think this shot would have come out the same in auto. Lastly, i have a few presets in lr2 that i use for the vintage look. i tend to prefer bw, but when i develop in color I like that vintage look. i'm not big on post, so i try to treat the shots minimally. thanks for the positive feedback!
