andybarton Posted November 22, 2006 Share #3 Posted November 22, 2006 Excellent stuff. The sweep of the cloud echoing the sweep of the stream, with the isolated cottage in-between. Was this actually in Glen Coe?
elansprint72 Posted November 22, 2006 Share #4 Posted November 22, 2006 Brilliant! I don't usually ask tech questions but what focal length of lens did you use?
fotografr Posted November 22, 2006 Share #5 Posted November 22, 2006 Superb!! This really gives the sense the cottage is about to be swallowed by a gigantic wave. Even the sweeping hill on the left looks like rolling ocean.
martinop Posted November 22, 2006 Share #6 Posted November 22, 2006 The breadth and depth + the placement of the small cottage within this composition and the lighting tones & textures make this a very appealing shot.

stuny Posted November 24, 2006 Share #8 Posted November 24, 2006 Rolo - As the screen began to paint with this image I thought it a close-up of a large wave, and then thought the cottage was at risk. Wonderful image on its own for the tones and assembled elements, but even more effective considering the tension of the likely misinterpretation. RolfB Posted November 25, 2006 Share #9 Posted November 25, 2006 Very impressive test, Rolo! Those images are touching the soul directly. But be careful also with tests: any degrees turning at right would remove the irritation of an oqblique image.
