bill Posted November 21, 2006 Share #1 Posted November 21, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) A week or so ago, on a beautiful early Autumn day I put the top down on the car and drove down to Brighton. Here are some of the results. All shots LC-1. Rona!d Posted November 22, 2006 Share #3 Posted November 22, 2006 #4 is well composed. Thank you.
azzo Posted November 22, 2006 Share #4 Posted November 22, 2006 Your 4th image is a Very Strong Image. Well seen and captured. Best Azzo
larry Posted November 22, 2006 Share #5 Posted November 22, 2006 Bill, I like all of your shots, but I'm particularly taken by number four. Larry
davephoto Posted November 22, 2006 Share #6 Posted November 22, 2006 Bill, your last photo is excellent! great composition, symmetry, color pattern.... well done! any chance you may have shot this in raw format where you could try to tease a bit more detail out of the white water on the shore. it's a little bleached out at the moment, but that would be my only minor nit-pick. otherwise, this is one of the those photos which i would have been proud to have taken. bill Posted November 22, 2006 Author Share #7 Posted November 22, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) Thanks all. Dave, they were all shot in RAW. #4 was a real pig to process for web - a hell of a lot of detail was lost in compressing such a "busy" picture for Forum use. You are right; there is far more detail in the waves in the uncompressed version - c'est la vie! Regards, Bill
MrEd Posted November 22, 2006 Share #8 Posted November 22, 2006 Hi Bill, My favorite is # 2. But to be honest... I like them all. Great natural colors, perspective and well balanced light. Thanks for sharing. Ed. .
Guest Metroman Posted November 23, 2006 Share #9 Posted November 23, 2006 #4 for me. Did you get any of the poor old West Pier?
ddp Posted November 23, 2006 Share #10 Posted November 23, 2006 #4 is simply outstanding. I think with a bit of tweaking in the original (get the detail in the water), it would be elevated even further. Wow.
spylaw4 Posted November 23, 2006 Share #11 Posted November 23, 2006 Agreed - #4 is brilliant, and #3 is excellent.
yavetshm Posted November 23, 2006 Share #12 Posted November 23, 2006 Bill I like them all, but #4 is very special Haim
stuny Posted November 24, 2006 Share #13 Posted November 24, 2006 Bill - 3 & 4 for their simplicity and near perfect composition. IMHO, #1 is spoiled by the two strollers walking away from camera, and would have waited until they were out of frame.
wbesz Posted November 26, 2006 Share #14 Posted November 26, 2006 The last shot is great!. (better sill if they were placed on the left side)
