cbretteville Posted September 24, 2009 Share #1 Posted September 24, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) Finally the meeting time and place is set. A big thanks to Azzo for helping out. We meet at the San Giovanni open air Café at 1230pm. I've, on a nudge from Andy B, set the meeting time a little later than what we had in Krakow to avoid the harshest mid day sun while still allowing us to finish the two hours before sunset at 1830. More details and a map can be found in the attached "Malta Terms and conditions" PDF. I'm really looking forward to seeing you all in Valletta. spylaw4 Posted September 24, 2009 Share #3 Posted September 24, 2009 Indeed - a very clear exposition of the rules etc.! Well done. Do we know where the pre-meet dinner on the Friday is to be, and also the Saturday post- meet bash?

masjah Posted September 25, 2009 Share #7 Posted September 25, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) Many thanks to Carl and Ivan for all their hard work. Please can I just clarify a point of detail about the file size of posted images. The .pdf file talks in terms of "the maximum allowed by the Forum, i.e. 960 pixels and 390.6kB in file size. But the sticky Forum Rules talks in terms of 960 x 640 with a max file size of 240 kB. Have I missed the max file size being upped (and the sticky not updated)? Sorry for the confusion if I have. cbretteville Posted September 25, 2009 Author Share #8 Posted September 25, 2009 John, I beleive Andreas has upped the sizes a bit with the new server platform in place. I took the numbers (at face value) off the upload files dialogue that is available when we post. To be absolutely sure, and for everyone's piece of mind, I'll send him an email and ask. Cheers, Carl
LUF Admin Posted September 25, 2009 Share #9 Posted September 25, 2009 Hi, the explanation: Carl is Sponsoring Member (Thanks to him and all other sponsors) and is allowed ~400 kB. I've increased the allowed size a little bit for "normal" users too... Regards Andreas If you want the 400 kb too, get it here http://www.l-camera-forum.com/leica-forum/payments.php
cbretteville Posted September 25, 2009 Author Share #10 Posted September 25, 2009 I've gone a round with Andreas on this and we agree that as I will be doing the image uploading we leave the max submission sizes as I've put down in the Terms & Conditions PDF.
