psquared Posted September 20, 2009 Share #1 Posted September 20, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) One of the victims of the huge Station Fire, which has burned through more than 160,000 acres (65,000 hectares) of forest land in Los Angeles and is still burning, was the Vetter Mountain Lookout. It was one of the first fire lookout stations built in the Los Angeles area. It was consumed by the fire on 9/1/09, and the forest service posted a picture of the aftermath today.
