msweeney Posted September 18, 2009 Share #1 Posted September 18, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) At the Pacific Ocean coast in Washington state these birds were flying very low to the surf. I only caught three frames of them before they were gone into the space that seems to go on forever at the ocean. Shot with Leica MP and Elmarit-M 28mm 1/250 @ f/11 on Kodak B&W CN, and scanned with Nikon Coolscan 5000ED. Here's another one taken earlier in the day when it was raining. Shot with Leica MP and Summicron-M 50mm 1/125 @ f/11 on Kodak B&W CN, and scanned with Nikon Coolscan 5000ED. Cheers, Mike

pauledell Posted September 19, 2009 Share #3 Posted September 19, 2009 Mike, The first shot is a wonderful landscape. I would have liked to seen it larger, though. And as Virgil said No. 2 is delightful. Paul
msweeney Posted September 19, 2009 Author Share #4 Posted September 19, 2009 Thanks for the comments! I'm just now learning how to scan my negatives, so I started with something small at first. I'll work up to print sizes soon hopefully! I thought smaller would look better for my first try.
StFreud Posted September 19, 2009 Share #5 Posted September 19, 2009 Mike, fine landscape in #1, for me it is dynamic. #2 for me shows the fight against the wind - well done. Stefan
