robsteve Posted November 20, 2006 Share #1 Posted November 20, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) It was my dog's tenth birthday this weekend. We invited the neighborhood kids and their dogs to go for a dog party at a local park and later came home for birthday cake. It gets pretty dark here late in the afternoon, especially with heavy overcast and rain. This was only at 1/60th and 800iso, using the 21-35mm . The boy throwing the toy is my son Matthew. robsteve Posted November 21, 2006 Author Share #5 Posted November 21, 2006 I love it! Did he eat the candles? She didn't eat the candle, but had some wax on here nose. I blew out the candle before she got a chance to eat it. We let her sniff the cake on the table, but took the candle out and put the cake on the floor for her to eat it. robsteve Posted November 22, 2006 Author Share #10 Posted November 22, 2006 Bill: I don't think the three other dogs present at the party were not well trained enough to sit at the table like yours did. Here is a picture from the same spot, one year ago, on her ninth birthday. I posted this one here before.

billh Posted November 23, 2006 Share #15 Posted November 23, 2006 What a great shot - look how her eye is riveted on the toy. The toddler really adds to the scene too. Brent, I’m glad. I wish you could have met the young one (Kona). She had a capacity to make people laugh that was very unique. Dogs are healthy characters to have around - they keep you young.
