larry Posted November 19, 2006 Share #2 Posted November 19, 2006 Andy, That's a very strange-looking building. Where is it located? Your shot is very crisp -- which camera did you use? Thanks, Larry

Guest lykoudos Posted November 19, 2006 Share #4 Posted November 19, 2006 Hello Andy, Impressing admission. An ingenious interaction of tradition and modern trend. The hotel building has the appearance gigantic chips. Beautifully by you seen and in the picture composes. earleygallery Posted November 19, 2006 Share #6 Posted November 19, 2006 Andy, I saw this when I was in Manchester earlier in the year. Made me dizzy just looking up at it! I wonder if the floor of the step out is made of glass - that would be something.
elansprint72 Posted November 19, 2006 Share #7 Posted November 19, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) Paris Hilton would be my Hilton of choice. I have a feeling that the forum whill be seeing more views of this thing in the very near future. Five of us strolled around the town centre today and it really is quite difficult to keep it out of a landscape shot. Yes, the step-out floor is glass! Very pleasing composition. DTD Posted November 19, 2006 Share #8 Posted November 19, 2006 Another view of the Beetham Tower. I think the floor of the bit that sticks out is glass – but I don't think you can look down. Perhaps Andy can smuggle us in? Not taken today (though I was there – film still being processed). Welcome, dear visitor! andybarton Posted November 19, 2006 Author Share #10 Posted November 19, 2006 The Hilton has a bar at level 23. Called "Bar 23", IIRC. It does have a glass floor, in a similar fashion to the CNN Tower in Toronto.
