hx911 Posted September 9, 2009 Share #1 Posted September 9, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) I am so happy that my camera kit is now the size of a bum (fanny) pack plus the M8 arounnd my neck. BUT I miss a tripod. what is everyone using for travel? I usually even leave my monopod at home - and regret it every second trip

Rick Posted September 9, 2009 Share #4 Posted September 9, 2009 Gitzo Gt1550T. Travelled all over Italy this summer with it and the M8/28 cron. It could fit in a med-large fanny pack. It is that small. Nobody will use it that way but, that is how compact it is.

Michael Hiles Posted September 10, 2009 Share #11 Posted September 10, 2009 I carry a Leitz table tripod and large ball head. There is almost always some convenient post or column I can use for a base - for which I am grateful to the architectural profession. Depending on the nature of the outing, I often mount it on the camera, fold it flat and clamp it into an L-shape as close as possible to the camera base, whence it becomes a nice handle.
