jaapv Posted September 3, 2009 Share #7 Posted September 3, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) So, the M9 has a UV-Problem! Oh yes- all sensors have that, as does film. Fortunately lenses have come with built-in UV filtering for the last half century. It is quite a job to find a lens for UV photography. It must be a Xenon/Summarit or Jupiter. egibaud Posted September 3, 2009 Share #10 Posted September 3, 2009 Who said Leica was stupid? Who said Leica did not know what they were doing? etc. etc. We do not know much about the M9 but I think Leica as given the world and great lesson about marketing and cost control. We have made the marketing for them, they are using us. One video teaser and this picture this is all what we know so far. Then a special world tour presentation. Hats off for Leica marketing team. :-)
delander † Posted September 3, 2009 Share #11 Posted September 3, 2009 This way of building expectation is not really new. Remember the Canon 5d2 photo gradually revealed over weeks? Jeff

Iansky Posted September 3, 2009 Share #13 Posted September 3, 2009 Not sure I like this new covering for whatever is underneath - could be good for covert type photos where people will think you more likely to have an alchohol problem than be taking their photo...........hic! Olsen Posted September 3, 2009 Share #15 Posted September 3, 2009 What's the guy looking at? There is no hole in the paper for the viewfinder. Is he nearsighted and are looking at the lcd? Will the M9 be without a 'manual' viewfinder so we will have to do the focusing on the lcd?
