John Thawley Posted September 2, 2009 Share #1 Posted September 2, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) A very cold and dark weekend in Bowmanville, Ontario. Fantastic shooting track... but still requires light. Here are a few backgrounders shot with the Digilux 2.
Advertisement Posted September 2, 2009 Posted September 2, 2009 Hi John Thawley, Take a look here Mosport I'ntl Raceway . I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
stuny Posted September 2, 2009 Share #2 Posted September 2, 2009 John - As always your automotive shots are peerless, exquisite. I like them all, but most especially #2.
elansprint72 Posted September 2, 2009 Share #3 Posted September 2, 2009 Nice set John; great portrait of Mr B (I've not seen him since we were in the Bentley pit at LM in 03, that was quite an event for us). Keep those D2 shots coming.
storybrown Posted September 3, 2009 Share #4 Posted September 3, 2009 I like #2, too; with his helmet on, the driver reminds me a little of Jackie Stewart. Fine series . . .
rob_x2004 Posted September 3, 2009 Share #5 Posted September 3, 2009 One for the Aussies. Looks like his dad. Nice images.
John Thawley Posted September 3, 2009 Author Share #6 Posted September 3, 2009 Thanks for the comments. This camera continues to make me shake my head in awe every time I download a memory card. Incredible IQ. It also gets more and more comfortable with use. While it's not the machine gun precision of my Canons, I'm a lot less apprehensive than I use to be. RPS Posted September 3, 2009 Share #7 Posted September 3, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) John: All are terrific pictures, but #2 is an absolutely stunning composition -- extremely well seen and composed. My hat (helmet) is off to you for this wonderful work.
