adli Posted September 2, 2009 Share #5 Posted September 2, 2009 You can easily see that the "M9" label is faked in some photo editing software

leica007 Posted September 2, 2009 Author Share #8 Posted September 2, 2009 Do we really need two threads on this? calm down, dear friend;) it doesn't cost money. retain focus on sub-issues, rather than getting submerged in the other thread.

leica007 Posted September 2, 2009 Author Share #11 Posted September 2, 2009 Wow! that was a quick reaction from Leica/Flickr/ the uploader. donno whether it's a gimmick or Leica marketing team/ flickr pouncing on these photos. smells fishy, yet good. let's hope that we are seeing the real thing here. a nice way to build up the excitement, huh? bill Posted September 2, 2009 Share #13 Posted September 2, 2009 Anyone remember this: ...? Note the inset dials. I had one for a short while - superb handling, and great results. The dials popped up if you pressed down on them. You could then turn them and press them down to lock in a setting. One was aperture, the other shutterspeed. I can see resemblances... aesop Posted September 2, 2009 Share #14 Posted September 2, 2009 Okay, uploaded the photos right here - before they are gone. Sorry folks: Need to check the Copyright status / NDA etc before these images can be un-moderated. ...hmmm, smells like legal fish, if you ask me. sdai Posted September 2, 2009 Share #15 Posted September 2, 2009 ...hmmm, smells like legal fish, if you ask me. On technical grounds, once one person broke the NDA, it doesn't bind the rest anymore because then what was revealed becomes second hand.
Guest BigSplash Posted September 2, 2009 Share #16 Posted September 2, 2009 I note that Leica seem to be making a 45mm lens for a 4/3 camera (see above link) I also believe that the 4/3 Panasonic camera has adapters to accept M lenses and perhaps R lenses. Question1 does a 50 mm lens on a 4/3 camera become heavily cropped by 1.33 factor or did I read 2x factor somewhere? Question 2 is it a requirement that for liveview it is necessary to use a CMOS sensor ? Thanks
jaapv Posted September 2, 2009 Share #17 Posted September 2, 2009 yes, for liveview CCD has thermal problems
rosuna Posted September 2, 2009 Share #18 Posted September 2, 2009 The X1 (or something like that) seems more probable to me than the M9...

leica007 Posted September 2, 2009 Author Share #20 Posted September 2, 2009 Sorry folks: Need to check the Copyright status / NDA etc before these images can be un-moderated. Guys, it's not me. I don't know who is moderating this thread and has put this 'blue line'. Who the hell are you? why don't you reveal your identity? the more you censor, the more you confirm that the photos are of the real thing. those who want to see the 'leaked' photos - check here: http://www.rangefinderforum.com/forums/showthread.php?postid=1129129#post1129129 and can someone tell the guy who runs Leica Rumor not to lift photos from elsewhere, without acknowledging [we acknowledged our source], and put his/her website name all over the photos.
