adan Posted August 30, 2009 Share #1 Posted August 30, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) Produced this story at the end of last week, with a Saturday game update... The stills in the video are all with the Mate - even the sports action (21, 28, 90, 135) - the gallery from Saturday's game is all M8, same lens combo. The tailgating alternative: Small college football - Rocky Mountain Independent
Advertisement Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 Hi adan, Take a look here M8 for sports photography? - Naw!. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
rleffingwell Posted August 30, 2009 Share #2 Posted August 30, 2009 Andy, well done! I loved the two feet leaving the 10-yard line and the lovely moment when the audio described playing football for a small town and the still visual was the ball floating in the air with just a few houses in the background. Very nice stuff, randy

morffin Posted August 30, 2009 Share #6 Posted August 30, 2009 Very nice ....must be great working with an editor who gets it ....some of those shots ( the best ones ) would have been casts aside by a lot of editors.

skimmel Posted August 30, 2009 Share #8 Posted August 30, 2009 These captures are really compelling! The cheerleader in the air and the 2 kids playing football behind the goal line are my favorites. The former is a great moment, giving all the feeling of the tension and concentration of the moment. The latter makes me feel the emulation of the kids for what they've been watching on the field. Just curious: which lens did you use for the cheerleader shot?

adan Posted August 31, 2009 Author Share #10 Posted August 31, 2009 The cheerleader in the air was with the 21 Elmarit pre-ASPH, which is still one of my favorite lenses even with the M8 crop.

gwelland Posted August 31, 2009 Share #12 Posted August 31, 2009 Nice job Andy - a very expressive documentary piece and both the stills in the video and the post game shots really did a good job in sharing the atmosphere of the team and the event.
