I managed to very briefly get my hands on what must be one of the first M9's in the UK and whilst no one was looking I snuck my SD card in and fired off a shot, here you go folks!

William, when you send it back, they will probably add the second (horizontal) line. The intersection of the two makes for easy composition when positioning the 'point of interest'. Of course it will be a (complimentary ;) ) green stripe.

But what lens was that taken with- what's the best lens? 28/2, 35/1.4, 50/1.4? If I can only get one lens what should it be? Two, three lenses...? And what's the best "bag". Damn- too many questions- maybe just keep the M8.2.

James: Your photo shows excellent Colour rendering, focus with pin prick sharpness contrast and brightness and no discernable aberrations. If this picture is anything to go by I guess Leica has a real winner. Definitely worth the extra £4000.
