rick_dykstra Posted August 20, 2009 Share #1 Posted August 20, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) These seem to be as rare as all heck. I need one for focussing my f5.6 lenses with the DMR. The microprisms in the other screens are a problem with the slower lenses. I'd be keen to hear if any of your local dealers have one. Thanks.
Advertisement Posted August 20, 2009 Posted August 20, 2009 Hi rick_dykstra, Take a look here DMR Uniform Ground Glass Screen?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
topoxforddoc Posted August 20, 2009 Share #2 Posted August 20, 2009 Rick, They're as rare as hens teeth. I just snagged on off E**y - first one I've seen in 9 months. I do have the ordinary gridded R9 ground glass screen spare, which I bought as I didn't think I'd find a DMR screen. Charlie

farnz Posted August 21, 2009 Share #4 Posted August 21, 2009 Rick, I don't know if they're exactly what you're looking for but Frank Foster's offering two GGS, one with a grid and one with a microprism, under "Leica R New". Pete.

Pete. Pete, I've called Frank. The ground glass one has gone. The microprism is standard R9 (no DMR framelines). Charlie
psquared Posted August 21, 2009 Share #6 Posted August 21, 2009 Rick, Have you tried Brightscreen.com? They may have plain old Leica R8/R9 ground glass screen onto which they can etch the DMR crop for you.
wildlightphoto Posted August 21, 2009 Share #7 Posted August 21, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) Rick, Have you tried Brightscreen.com? They may have plain old Leica R8/R9 ground glass screen onto which they can etch the DMR crop for you. Brightscreen can put the DMR crop lines on a normal plain mate R8/R9 screen, they quoted US$225 for the modified screen. Have your dealer/pusher check with Leica in Germany. I just got one from Germany, they might have another. Leica's part number is 14393.
