adli Posted August 17, 2009 Share #61 Posted August 17, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) I doubt the lens compartments are big enough to hold the new 67mm 0.95 Noctilux that we will need to match the 50mm 0.95 Noctilux field of view we are used to on the M8. That 1.33x factor will kill all the equipment M8 strategies. Perhaps we'll have to get used to the 67mm 3.5 collapsible Elmar. Cropped sensors are probably going to be a paranthesis in the M history. All models before M8 were full frame and all models after will probably be full frame. Hence will Leica never make a 67mm Noctilux for the M8. Considering the fact that Leica just recently released the 50mm 0.95 Noctilux also makes it unlikely that they will release a new Noctilux in the near future. The Noctilux is also a flagg ship lens which so far have only existed in one variant and have been renewed every other decade or so.

m8point2 Posted August 29, 2009 Author Share #69 Posted August 29, 2009 Sorry I haven't had time to look at the forum for a few days -to busy doing phography! Anyways I had a chance to catch up on some posts yesterday, Anyways it looks like my question about bags wasnt so dumb after all. Mark Nokton says the M9 will be wider from the FF sensor and SJP complains there is no good bag for the M9. I'm not going to get a bag anyways- my photo instuctor told me HCB never used one. I might get the new halfcase from Luigi when he has it (no preorder until my M9 arrives). Does this case let you see the LDC and push the buttons on the back? Thanks, el
lxlim Posted September 7, 2009 Share #70 Posted September 7, 2009 I hope the dimensions of the M9 have satisfied everyone's questions (and fantasies) regarding a bag for the M9 Or should it continue?
