farnz Posted August 10, 2009 Share #6 Posted August 10, 2009 Ahem ... <clears throat> (one-two, one-two). I would like to thank the organisers for providing the funds to make this prestigious award possible ... oh hang on ... wrong speech. Thank you to all for their kind comments but most of all to everyone who participated in organising, posting and voting because without it we wouldn't have this pleasant distraction. I'm slightly embarrassed that my entry won because I'd pretty much resigned myself to not entering this time because I had nothing to enter - I'd even gone to the extent of finding a "Sunrise" pub with the intention of shooting its sign. As it happened I'd been to a colleague's retirement do at a pub near work and, while weaving my way to the bus stop, noticed a tinge of purple in the sky, pulled my D-Lux 4 out of my bag where it always accompanies me and there we are. They say that the best camera is the one you have with you and here is the proof. I've asked Andreas to add a new sub-forum to the D-Lux 4 challenge forum so when he does I'll set the dates there. The new subject will be 'Glass' with capture starting on Friday 14th August. Pete.
