Jamie Roberts Posted August 9, 2009 Share #21 Posted August 9, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) Oh yes they did - for 8mm and Super-8 ciné cameras. For example Kern made a 5.5mm f/1.8 Switar from the 1950s, and Schneider made a Leica-branded 6-66mm f/1.8 Optivaron in M mount for the Leicina Super. Ah--of course!! I'd forgotten those completely, though I used my share of 8mm cameras, and have a vintage Canon Super 8 camera in a cupboard here (from 1969 maybe?). The wide quality of that wasn't terrible in terms of distortion; it wasn't a great optic by any stretch, though. I wonder too, what my Minolta 16P used to have in terms of a lens Wish I had it now, just to look at. http://www.collectiblecameras.com/catalog/images/MinoltaP16e.jpg

Jamie Roberts Posted August 9, 2009 Share #22 Posted August 9, 2009 In November there will be a new film as a sequel to BSG, called The Plan. We just received the Caprica disc and will get to it when we're done going through the Blu Ray comlete collection of BSC. We're 1/2 way through season 3. Frack! Ah--you still have a lot to go I saw the BluRay season 4.5; didn't know they'd all been released!! If I wasn't saving for a 24 Lux... The Plan sounds interesting too. I believe Edward Olmos directed it...
