I love the East End. Just get off the tube or the DLR wherever you want and there will be something puzzling and worthwhile to photograph. Public baths were a must in the East End up until as late as the 1960s. It was the only place you could actually get a bath each week because most houses did not have a bathroom and only rudimentary indoor plumbing. The statue in itself has a marvellous story.
