Advertisement Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 Hi lct, Take a look here How is it that EVERY Leica on 'the bay' is MINT and RARE?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
JBA Posted July 29, 2009 Share #22 Posted July 29, 2009 The term "high leg," at least in Japan, refers to women's thong underwear. But how that could apply figuratively or even fancifully to that version Summicron is anybody's guess.

Now I'm beginning to understand why I start lusting after certain lenses...
leicajh Posted August 2, 2009 Share #24 Posted August 2, 2009 There is a definite tendency for sellers and even some dealers to describe Leica items as "rare" or "very rare" and they also exacerbate same by use of an exclamation mark. Very few Leica items offered are in fact as rare as the sellers purport and many are relatively common. Sellers should maybe consider the use of the word "scarce" instead of "rare" and even then use it only if the item is truly scarce eg a 350mm Telyt R or a titanium M6. Cheers dunk I have a M6 Titanium plus a brace of titanium lenses. I didn't think they are rare.

On second thought, the amount of "naked" chrome she's showing around the "hind end" of her lens mount merits the name.
razerx Posted August 2, 2009 Share #27 Posted August 2, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) So where's the "high leg" part or is this an amputee? High Leg is just a slang by Chinese Leica Users for the 3rd generation 50mm Summicron due to the slightly thicker silver portion of the mount compared to other lenses.
