StS Posted August 2, 2009 Author Share #61 Posted August 2, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) I finished my roll about 4pm local time. It is in the postbox and will be travelling on with the late postal collection. Maybe our rolls meet in Kansas - I guess this is one of the few occasions, where all competition films are the same material will be processed in the same lab. In a way this should give maximum reproducibility... Stefan
Advertisement Posted August 2, 2009 Posted August 2, 2009 Hi StS, Take a look here Competition based on Kodachrome film. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Nick De Marco Posted August 2, 2009 Share #62 Posted August 2, 2009 I shot my (first and last) roll of KCrme mostly yesterday here in my house in the lovely southern Italian heat. Not many red and yellow I am afraid but a few. Finished film today, with no red or yellow at all, but hopefully some nice gren and blue landscapes. I fly back to UK tomorrow evening and will post on Tuesday
earleygallery Posted August 2, 2009 Share #63 Posted August 2, 2009 Film finished this morning, I really enjoyed having to find red & yellow subjects, quite a challenge at first and then I was seeing potential subject matter everywhere! I'll have to see how they come out - the light wasn't great yesterday when I shot most of the roll. Good fun.
kdemas Posted August 2, 2009 Share #64 Posted August 2, 2009 I just finished shooting my roll a few hours ago in downtown San Francisco. A cool day, I trolled for about 2 hours to find some Red and Yellow subjects. We'll see if anything interesting emerges. I must say I really enjoyed using my M7 and 50 Cron today. What a nice comfortable street shooting combo. I have been using the M8 and C-Sonnar so often I almost forgot how nice the film combo really is. Fun competition... I hope everyone had as good a time participating as I did. Kent PS- I discovered my DX coder (mechanical) did not pick up Kodachrome properly (never seen the problem with ISO 100+ film). Time to get the optical reader installed
kdemas Posted August 2, 2009 Share #65 Posted August 2, 2009 Just bought the last two rolls in Liverpool £15 each... Andy... Wow, pricey! Kent

StS Posted August 3, 2009 Author Share #68 Posted August 3, 2009 One request from my side - some have already told about their participation. Could you please post a very short remark here to give a feeling for the total number of participants? A short 'yes' flag will be sufficient. http://www.l-camera-forum.com/leica-forum/kodachrome-challenge/93927-poll-who-took-part-competition.html#post984085 Stefan
iShutterbug Posted August 4, 2009 Share #69 Posted August 4, 2009 I really wanted to participate because we have some red and yellow "Day Lilies" blooming in our back yard (still), but when I read about this contest I contacted my camera store for some Kodachrome they said they hadn't had any in years. I wouldn't have known where to get the rolls processed anyway because I always shot negative film. I'm looking forward to seeing your shots!
