topoxforddoc Posted July 24, 2009 Author Share #22 Posted July 24, 2009 Pete, I'm very humbled by your comment. Personally most Ferraris are an art form. My shot was a record shot for me. I went to Goodwood and wanted a nice set of images to remember the weekend by. Thanks Charlie
ijporter Posted July 28, 2009 Share #23 Posted July 28, 2009 Hi Pete, Thanks for all your detective work - it's always good to be better informed! I suppose it just goes to show the fluid nature of Ferrari's construction and badging of their cars! I remember you posting the Aintree shot and still marvel at the sheer beauty of those designs. Best wishes, Ian
luigi bertolotti Posted July 28, 2009 Share #24 Posted July 28, 2009 Pete is spot on about the first Dino badged road car (the 206) ... maybe many do not remember that together with it, Fiat announced a Dino of its own : same engine with the famed/tragic first electronic spark control named Dinoplex: the 2 seats spider was a superb Pinin design while the 4 seats Coupè was a much less exciting Bertone design... my father had one, yellow, from the very first batch of 1967, and kept it for 3 months (of which less then 2 of use)... a masterpiece of unreliability for a car that pretended to be a family sport car...
