It has a 12 X optical zoom and a 25mm lens. Here are some quick shots I took just to make sure it was working. Very impressive for a camera that cost me less than $250. I am donated all my other little cameras, not the D Lux 4, to a home for the formerly homeless. They all work fine but this has a much higher resolution and 12X optical zoom.
