epand56 Posted June 5, 2009 Share #4 Posted June 5, 2009 Hi,I find the white borders very distracting. maurice I agree with Maurice, the white borders are not good. Very distracting. I would put a much more thin neutral grey border instead, if you feel the need of one, but regular and not distorted.
andybarton Posted June 5, 2009 Share #5 Posted June 5, 2009 Takes a very long time to load (that'll be the Simpleviewer thing) So much so, that I got fed up waiting...
lct Posted June 5, 2009 Share #6 Posted June 5, 2009 No loading problem for me (Mac, Firefox) and i don't dislike the white borders at all. De gustibus...

Michael Hiles Posted June 5, 2009 Share #8 Posted June 5, 2009 Quite like the site. It loaded fast enough for me (Opera, Vista). The white border does not work for me.
morffin Posted June 5, 2009 Share #9 Posted June 5, 2009 Site loaded very fast for me as well...Safari on a Mac. Ive spoken with tons of art directors and art buyers and they all say they want to now where a photographer is based. You should put your location on the site...esp since its in Ore-Gun ...a hot bed of cutting edge ad agencies.
andybarton Posted June 5, 2009 Share #10 Posted June 5, 2009 My issue with the loading is if you want to see an image in the strip that isn't the first one, you have to wait while it loads. You watch the white bar run from left to right. OK, so I am on a prehistoric 8MB ADSL service (probably about 5MB in real life), but it takes around 6 seconds per image to load, at no great a size than on this forum. Safari btw. NZDavid Posted June 7, 2009 Share #11 Posted June 7, 2009 I find them slow to load, too -- but same applies to lots of sites! I also use Safari and Firefox but our broadband speed just isn't that fast. But I like the very clean simple presentation. Excellent! I don't mind the white borders. I would like to see some text, even minimal. Thanks for sharing.
